My name is Dominique and I am 30 years old. I have three kids between the ages of 8 1/2 and 5, and have been married to my husband for 10 years. We’ve been together for 12 years.
I was diagnosed with the inattentive type of ADHD at the age of 12.
Prior to then, I knew I was kind of different. I had difficulty focusing on a task for long. I would daydream in class. I would study really hard for a test and then not remember anything, when I got to the test. I would get really frustrated. I can remember coming home, crying, after feeling kind of disappointed I didn’t do better.
Thankfully, my dad listened to my frustrations, which led to seeing some psychologists, who were able to diagnose me.
Although I have known about my ADHD/ADD for a while, I can’t say that I know a whole lot about it, which has lead me to start do research of my own and starting this blog in January 2018.
